Meet Khairi “Grand Khai” Allah. Dynamic, passionate and lyrically inclined are a few words to describe the young vocalist. Amberationwas curious to know genre he identified with, khai went on to explained that he makes feel good music, for the millenials who can appreciate the versitility of his sound. The streets of Queens, New York was Khai’s stomping grounds. Riddled in hip hop culture it was everywhere he went. He remembers the specific song that piqued his interest to write music. 50 Cents “21 questions ” started him on his musical journey.
Growing up in a single parent home, young Khairi was introduced to music by his older brother who made it his duty to keep an eye out for his younger siblings while his mother was working hard at her job in realty. Music became a means to an end for Grand Khai. To be more specific, immersing himself in music kept him on the straight and narrow and off the streets of New York. His competitive nature allowed him to gradually master the Art. Moving from rapping to singing Khai spent time honing his craft.

Khai is an independent artist. The serenity of being able to conduct his business on his own is his motivation keeps his brands authenticity. That authenticity originated from his early years of recording. Khai spoke fondly about his first time gaining traction in the music industry. It was on SoundCloud where his remix of an Australian producer “M-Phazes” got 40,000 plays. Khai was ecstatic it motivated him to continue making music knowing that there are people out there that will always appreciate his talent. A really big moment for him as an artist was when he featured on a Billboard in Los Angeles as new talent when he dropped EP.
Wanting to break barriers with his complexion. Khai hopes to inspire those around him not to let their complexion limit them. There is really nothing is wrong with being a calm, unproblematic and successful individual and that is the message he wants to portray to his fans. Grand Khai makes music for the soul. For those who simply want a good vybe without having to look to far. His humility is transparent in his music and his overall sound a sea of calmness.
